Efren Buitrago, M.D.

Dr. Buitrago joined the team of surgeons at South Florida Heart & Lung Institute in December of 2008.

Dr. Buitrago's areas of interest and expertise include vascular surgery, endovascular surgery, and thoracic surgery.

The American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, The Cardiothoracic Surgery Network, and the American College of Chest Physicians are all organizations in which Dr. Buitrago holds professional memberships.

Dr. Buitrago has participated in presentations and has had several scientific studies published, as recently as 2008.

Dr. Buitrago is the newest member of one of the most experienced teams of cardiac surgeons in South Florida.
